The high and low temperature low air pressure test chamber is suitable for evaluating the ability of transport packaging and unit goods in pressurised cabin and non-pressurised cabin aircraft flying at an altitude of up to 3500m during air transport to withstand the effects of low air pressure and the ability of the packaging to protect the contents, and for ground transport packaging and unit goods at higher altitudes to carry out low air pressure tests.
The test specimen is placed in a high and low temperature low pressure test chamber, then the air pressure inside the chamber is lowered to the equivalent of 3500m altitude, the air pressure is maintained for a predetermined period of time and then brought back to normal pressure.
If necessary, the temperature can also be controlled at the same altitude during this period.
Test equipment.
The air pressure test chamber should have sufficient space to accommodate the test specimen and be capable of air pressure and temperature control.
High and low temperature low pressure test chamber test procedure.
1, the test sample will be placed in the air pressure test chamber, the rate of not more than 150 × 105m Pa / min will be reduced to 650 × 105m Pa (± 5%), in a predetermined period of time to maintain the air pressure, holding time can be selected in 2h, 4h, 8h, 16h.
2,At a pressurisation rate of no more than 150×105m Pa/min, fill with dry air in line with the laboratory temperature to restore it to its initial state
3,After the test, check the damage to the packaging and contents in accordance with the relevant standards and analyse the test results.
Experimental report.
1, the temperature, relative humidity and time of pre-treatment.
2, temperature, humidity, pressure, rate of increase (decrease) and air pressure holding time in the air pressure test chamber.
3. a description of the test equipment and apparatus.
4. a record of the results of the experiment and any phenomena that contribute to the correct interpretation of the test results
5. any differences between the test methods.
