The environmental chamber simulates different ambient temperature and air replacement rate conditions. Automotive interior materials or products are placed in the test chamber package. The detection principle of the automotive parts VOC environmental test chamber (bag method) is to put the sample to be tested into a special sampling bag of relative specifications. The sampling bag itself must not contain VOC, and the sealed sampling bag is accurately filled with a certain amount of nitrogen. Put it into the oven and heat it at the specified temperature and time. Use Tenax tube and DNPH tube for sampling. The Tenax tube is measured with a thermal desorption mass spectrometer. The DNPH tube is eluted with acetonitrile and then analyzed with a liquid chromatograph. The eluate was tested. Because this detection method has the characteristics of high detection efficiency, low cost, and good data consistency, it is usually one of the first methods used by domestic and foreign car companies. During the test operation of the VOC environmental test chamber for automotive parts, the requirements are relatively strict, so personnel training is an issue that cannot be ignored.


The process of testing pollutant release in an environmental chamber is summarized as follows: Place materials and products or their samples in the sampling bag in the test chamber, adjust the temperature, background and other environmental conditions in the box as needed; take samples inside the sampling bag of the environmental chamber; Appropriate methods are used to analyze gas samples to identify major contaminants and their concentration changes over time; the release rates and release characteristics of materials and products are then determined based on the measured concentrations.
