Car airbag test chamber
1. The car airbag test chamber is a passive safety system used in the automotive industry: it is a device installed in the vehicle, usually located in the dashboard, steering wheel, and sometimes in the seat or side. If the car is hit hard, it will inflate immediately.
Airbags and components are also tested through a combination of climatic, mechanical, electrical and optical tests to strict standards often set by the car manufacturers themselves.
2. Reference standards ISO 12097-2 airbag module testing and ISO 12097-3:2002 inflator component testing standards defined.
Climatic testing of airbags
Each component must be tested under simulated environmental conditions to verify the tightness of the airbag fabric, seams and seams; ensuring the correct function of sensors and connectors is equally important. They are actually a key component of the system that detects deceleration due to impact, thereby activating the detonator and allowing the airbag to deploy via a signal sent to the control unit.
Additionally, the process of airbag deployment is verified by recording via high-speed cameras positioned at all necessary angles for proper evaluation.
Internal size: 6500*3500*2700
Temperature range: -40~150 degrees
Humidity range: 20%~95%
Mobile trolley release time: within 10S
When the airbag is deployed within the test area, the sides of the chamber will be equipped with windows to allow cameras to be placed outside the chamber.
