The 8m3 purification performance test chamber is a device that tests the performance of air purifiers that perform functions such as dust collection and odor deodorization contained in the air.
Meets Korean standards SPS-KACA 002-0132:2018
Purification performance test chamber:
A.Temperature : 23±5ºC, R/H : 55±15%
B.Size of chamber
1) 8.0±0.5 m³ : CADR 0.1 ~ 1.6 m³/min
2) 29.5±1 m³ : CADR 1.6 ~ 16.0 m³/min
3) 50.0±1 m³ : Over CADR 16.0 m³/min
4) 180±1 m³ : Over CADR 16.0 m³/min
C. Structure and test method
1) The inside of the purification performance test chamber should be made of an uninterruptible panel.
2) An air circulation and pressure equalization system equipped with a HEPA filter capable of supplying air satisfying
the background concentration is applied to the test chamber.
3) Test using a particle generator capable of generating more than 107 particles per second by spraying an aqueous
solution of potassium chloride [KCL].
4) While operating the air purifier for 20 minutes, measure the reduction of particles with a particle size of 0.3
μm, or
perform a test until it reaches 1/10 of the initial particle concentration to obtain the purifying capacity value of the air
purifier.
Harmful gas removal efficiency test in purification performance test chamber
A.Temperature : 23±5ºC, R/H : 55±15%
B.Size of purification performance test chamber: 8m3 (2m×2m×2m)
C.The gas to be tested shall be of the following 5 types.
a) Ammonia (NH3) b) acetic acid (CH3COOH) c) acetaldehyde (CH3CHO)
b) Toluene (C7H8) e) formaldehyde (HCHO)
D.Structure and test method
1) A certain amount of gas is supplied into the test chamber using a gas generating device.
2) After measuring the initial gas concentration, operate the test object at the rated level for 30 minutes, and then
measure the concentration of residual gas to calculate the harmful gas removal rate.
Ozone concentration measurement in purification performance test chamber:
A.Temperature : 23±5ºC, R/H : 55±15%
B.Size of chamber: 29.5±1 m³
C.Test method
1) Measure the initial ozone concentration before operating the test object.
2) Operate the test object at rated value for 24 hours and use the measured value as ozone generation concentration.
