The Chamber is used for the acupuncture/extrusion test of the battery/battery pack, simulates the detection of local thermal runaway or internal short circuit that may be caused by the extrusion force or foreign object penetration of the battery product.

Test method description
The test should be carried out at an ambient temperature of 20ºC±5ºC. Place the battery connected with the thermocouple (the contacts of the thermocouple are fixed on the large surface of the battery) in a fume hood and cover it with a non-corrosive steel pipe with a diameter of 2-8mm. The needle pierces the center of the largest surface of the battery at a speed of 10mm/s-40mm/s and maintains it for any time.
