Working principle

Box-type resistance furnaces convert electrical energy into heat energy through heating coils or resistance wires, and transfer heat energy through the air in the box.

Box-type resistance furnace is an electric furnace that uses Joule heat generated by current passing through conductors as the heat source.
Box-type resistance furnace uses electricity as the heat source, converts electrical energy into heat energy through electric heating elements, and heats metal in the furnace. The resistance furnace has a high thermal efficiency compared to the flame, which can reach 50-80℅. The thermal system is easy to control, the working conditions are good, and the furnace body has a long life. It is suitable for heating workpieces with strict requirements, but the power consumption is high.
According to the heat transfer mode, box-type resistance furnaces are divided into radiation resistance furnaces and convection resistance furnaces. Radiation resistance furnaces mainly use radiation heat transfer, and the convective heat transfer effect is small; convection resistance furnaces mainly use convective heat transfer, often called air circulation resistance furnaces, which rely on hot air for heating, and the furnace temperature is usually lower than 650°C. .
According to the way of electric heat generation, resistance furnaces are divided into two types: direct heating and indirect heating.
