The microcomputer-controlled electronic torsion testing machine is mainly composed of four major parts: a host computer, a torsion angle measuring device, a measurement and control system and a computer. During the test, the computer software sends instructions to the control unit to rotate the servo motor. The servo motor drives the reducer through the synchronous belt, and the reducer drives the moving chuck to rotate. When the movable chuck rotates, a torque is applied to the sample. This torque is transmitted to the fixed chuck through the sample, and then transmitted to the torque sensor from the fixed chuck. The output signal of the torque sensor is sent to the measurement amplifier circuit in the control unit, and then After A/D conversion, it enters the computer. The torsion angle measurement is performed using an optical encoder. Two turntables are fixed at the gauge length of the sample, and two photoelectric encoders are attached to the two turntables respectively. The angle difference between the two turntables is also the angle difference between the two photoelectric encoders. The pulse signal is input to the computer, and through computer processing, the accurate torsion angle value can be obtained.
