This testing machine is suitable for detecting and evaluating the combustion characteristics of plastic materials, and performing horizontal and vertical flammability tests on the plastic parts of equipment and appliances. It is equipped with a gas flow meter to adjust the flame size and is driven by a motor. The operation is simple and safe. This instrument can evaluate the flammability of materials or foam plastics such as: V-0, V-1, V-2, HB, 5VA, 5VB, VTM-0, VTM-2.

UL94 horizontal and vertical combustion tester is designed to simulate the early firing situation of electronic and electrical products in order to evaluate the firing hazard through this simulation technology,. when the products are on fire the tester needs to ensure that the flame around the products shall not spread around. The tester is used to conduct flammability experiments for materials of equipment and  components, and measure the test indices, such as flammability property, burning rate, flame spread, combustion intensity and  the flame retardant property of products. It is a latest listed tester extremely recommended to clients with high requirements in terms of its high automation and accurate test data.

Working principle

UL94 Flammability Test Principle

Place the sample on specified grip in vertical or horizontal direction of the UL 94 instrument. The standard sample is placed horizontally or vertically on a specific fixture to i under a specified flame for a certain period of time. 2. Purpose and composition
This testing machine consists of a control box, combustion box, burner, LCD display, PLC control system, solenoid valve, high-pressure igniter, gas pipe, pressure regulating valve, gas flow meter (one each for propane and air), exhaust system, Lighting system and signal control lines.
3. Structural diagram of operation steps
A. Put the mask on the metal head mold. The distance between the top of the burner and the part of the mask (when placed directly facing the burner) should be set at 20 mm ± 2 mm. B. Adjust the flame height to 40 mm ± 4 mm. Use a metal-isolated thermocouple probe to measure the temperature of the flame at 20 mm ± 2 mm above the top of the burner. It should be 800 C ± 50 C.C. Move the head mold through the flame at a linear speed of 60 mm/s ± 5 mm/s. , and record the burning state of the mask after passing through a flame.
