The low-temperature winding test device is generally suitable for circular insulated wire cores with an outer diameter of 12.5mm and below and sector-shaped insulated wire cores that cannot be prepared as dumbbell specimens. If specified in the relevant cable product standards, the test shall be conducted on large-size insulated cores. Otherwise, large-sized insulated wire cores should be subjected to low-temperature tensile testing.
The low temperature impact test device is suitable for all kinds of PVC sheathed cables, regardless of the insulation type of the insulated core. If specified in the relevant cable product standard, it also applies to the polyethylene insulation of unsheathed wires, flexible cords and flat flexible cords.
The PVC insulation of sheathed cables is not directly subjected to low temperature impact testing.
